When we talk about geothermal heat pump, then we will talk about a system that works by using a simple principle in which the surface of the ground below the frost line remains at a constant temperature throughout the year and use the water source of heat in the winter and put it back in accordance with the amount of heat the same back to the ground during the summer. As the name implies, this is one of the environmentally friendly way using earth potential to retain heat in the bottom and the surface water bodies. Heat pump will not produce heat by convention, but can transfer heat. When we saw the need for energy is constantly increasing and this time could be anticipated by the geothermal system which is currently regarded as the best solution to address all the challenges. Why? Well, it is a renewable energy source which proved to be very efficient where we can easily warm up the room without any difficulty, including the installation of heavy integration.

A geothermal heat pump comes in three main components, namely the loop field, liquid pump pack, and water-source heat pump.
(1) Loop field – the main goal of the loop of this field is to transfer heat to the ground and vice versa, and the size of the building will determine the size of the loop field we need.
(2) Liquid pump pack – this is an item that will send water through the loop field and water source heat pump.
(3) Water source heat pump – this is a unit that serves as a furnace or boiler that receives heat from the loop fields and use it to heat a given structure. We will find their purpose different heat pump – as well as the type of heat pump that must be understood so they can choose which best fits our needs. Heat pump is present to meet the goal of residential, commercial (industrial, office), and others.

Geothermal heat pump (GHP) is often also referred to as GEOEXCHANGE which has been used since the late 1940s with the work as described previously – using the constant temperature of the earth as a medium of exchange that allows the system achieve high energy efficiency on a winter night coldest when compared with the use of the usual cold days. As with any other heat pump, GHP provides a home with a heat source, including hot water. We will find that there are several models of geothermal systems are available with 2 compressors and fans are comfortable and save energy. Then, what about the price offered for the installation of geothermal heat pump? Well, we are going to get the price is not cheap – quite expensive several-fold when compared with air source system with the same specifications, but we will get a cost greater energy savings after the use of the item in 5-10 years.
